To cultivate something means to give the growing thing what it needs to grow. We all need a few of the same things to grow, but we also each need a little bit of a variety of things to grow. Consider adding a new plant to the stage each week. Each plant could be very different from the others in the ways it needs care, its texture and size, its origin, and its method of reproduction. Depending on your geographic location, plants such as fern, succulents, small trees, and flowers would make an interesting mix. You might even assign a church member (preferably someone who is not a green thumb!) to care for the plant in the correct way over the week and then bring it back the following week.
