We are unique members following a singular will. The point of this singular will does not erase the need for diversity of action in the church. Think of it as walking down the street. At first thought, you may believe only the brain and legs are needed. But it would be a lot more difficult without all the small components attached in nuanced ways: the core muscles for keeping upright, the feet for control, the arms for keeping the movements balanced, the eyes and ears for informational input—every small member contributing in irreplicable ways to accomplish a singular task. This communicates to us one easily seen truth: the body functions in unity of purpose without uniformity of action. It is exactly this lack of uniform action—the unique and pivotal contributions—which leads to perfect execution of will.
