Three-Legged Race Marriage Sermon Illustration

In a three-legged race, you and your partner are connected together by your inside legs, thus having only “three” working legs between the two of you. The point of the race is to become like one person and work together to make it to the finish line without falling over. In a similar way, we get married and become one—or “connected”—to our spouse, thus running the race of life together as one entity.
