The universe makes music. NASA has used sonification to isolate vibrations and sounds that are natural in creation. When J. R. R. Tolkien wrote about the creation of Middle Earth (The Silmarillion) he stated that the music of Arda, via the spiritual beings, sang the physical world into existence. Evil came through the chaotic music of Melkor that disrupted the beautiful creation. “Creation is awe-inspiring, it is evolutionary, it tells us who we are, and how we should behave; and the emotional insights of that identity seem best conveyed by music.
