Even eagles, as beautiful and strong as they are, experience a season of weakness. During molting, an eagle sheds its old feathers before new ones can grow. In that time, it cannot soar: it must remain hidden and vulnerable until renewal comes. Only then does it rise again on strong, restored wings. In the same way, spiritual renewal often requires seasons of letting go of old habits, past disappointments, or worn-out identities so that God can clothe us anew in his strength. When we feel grounded or unseen, it may be that God is preparing us for flight, rebuilding what is needed to soar once again.
