Who Is The Holy Spirit?

Trying to describe the role of the Holy Spirit in the life of a believer has taken several forms in modern theology. A common image is that he is the power source for our “battery,” giving us life and functionality. The fuel in an engine is a another analogy. But he is so much more than fuel or energy. He is what makes Christianity possible. He is the author of conviction that leads us to Christ. He is the teacher, moving the good news through the apostles of the New Testament and saints of the church throughout history. He is the very heart of Christianity itself, giving it definition. He is the extension of God among people.
