When geocaching (searching for hidden treasures in your community, placed there by other people who like to geocache), it is often easy to lose track of where the GPS (usually the cell phone) is in relation to the hidden cache. When you walk too fast or lose a signal, it’s best to stop for a few moments and allow the tracking to catch up. Sometimes you even have to back up and start from a point where you were confident the tracking was correct, then start again slowly. This is a great image for working hard, in search of something great, but getting off track or not staying close enough to the point of signal to follow the dot on the map. We need to stay close to Jesus like we do that blinking dot; he will show us where to go and, in the process, reveal our true identity (the cache!).
