Love Overcomes

Hiroshima-Japan

NPR interviewed Koko Kondo, a woman who was just eight months old when the United States dropped a nuclear bomb on her city, Hiroshima. She survived, but not without lifelong scars, inside and out. Yet the story of her journey to forgiveness and her life’s work of peacemaking illustrates the power that there is in telling the truth about the sins we have committed, the sins that have been committed against us, and working toward a love that overcomes true and tangible evil.
