In Letters to my Children, Daniel Taylor discusses integrity. He writes that integrity “means wholeness, unity.” When we sin, we become divided and less whole. Each time that happens, we become less of who God intends us to be. God desires that we worship only him, with all of our lives. So often we can hide an idol from the public, but in worshipping it secretly we become less human and less of who God intends us to be (Daniel Taylor, Letters to My Children [Bog Walk Press, 2010], chap. 15).
