Salvation in Jesus arrives at just the right time, but it was ready from the earliest days. In Mary Poppins Returns (directed by Rob Marshall [Walt Disney Pictures, 2018]), much of the plot revolves around a now-grown Jane and Michael. They are trying to prevent being evicted from their childhood home. After the banker who has been trying to foreclose on them is defeated, it is revealed by Mr. Dawes Jr., the owner of the bank, that the tuppence that were invested in the bank by Jane and Michael’s father when they were kids have accrued enough interest to pay off any debt on their house.
