If you’ve ever worked in a job where you handle a lot of money, you know you become familiar with the differences between counterfeit money and the real stuff. The paper feels different. Some of the markings aren’t quite right. However, if you never felt authentic money, you could be fooled into thinking the counterfeit was real. Through sin we become so accustomed to inauthentic experiences in life that we can struggle to recognize what it means to live the way God intends. Jesus’s incarnation shows us who God is, and everything else looks counterfeit as a result.
