If you ever babysit someone’s kids or your own siblings, pay attention to their attitude about possessions. When they find a toy they like from the dollar store or a food they enjoy, they often guard it with their lives. They will not share without putting up a great fight. They do this because they have no idea that they can get the same toy from the dollar store tomorrow or that there is more of food in the refrigerator. They have not learned to trust that they have enough in life. Too many of us are the same way in our relationship with God. We do not trust that he will provide for us. Let’s learn from Paul to be content in every situation.
