Call for Help

With a warning to your hearers not to try it themselves, share the story of the ten-year-old boy who called 911 to ask for help with his math problem. He couldn’t solve a division problem, and because the dispatcher wasn’t busy at the moment, he took out his calculator and helped the boy solve the problem. This is a good example of calling on the professionals when we need help. The boy wasn’t embarrassed or hesitant to call for help, and the dispatcher respectfully helped without scolding or shaming him.
