As humans, oftentimes, our natural instinct is to be defensive and disrespectful when we feel someone is attacking us with their words. But as Christians, not only are we called to give an answer for our hope, but we are called to do so with “gentleness and respect”.
Pastor Thabiti Anyabwile was invited to make “the case for hope” at an event hosted by The Atlantic. In this clip, Pastor Anyabwile gently and respectfully communicates his convictions while engaging in a conversation with someone who strongly disagrees with him. This is a helpful model of what it looks like to be prepared to stand firm in our faith in the hopes of sharing the gospel with others.
