There are some crazy competitions out there, like pumpkin sailing and outhouse racing. These competitions seem so ridiculous, but that’s what we’re doing when we compare the way God is using or gifting us to others. We’re in a dangerous place when we find ourselves jealous over God’s blessing in others’ lives. When we stop viewing our gifts as things to steward for God and instead view them as things for us to protectively own, we will find ourselves falling into sin.
