Have you ever heard the saying that concentration breeds conformity? When you concentrate on something long enough, you begin to conform to that something. You talk like it, think like it, and act like it. Basketball fans out there may remember hearing about the legendary Michael Jordan. He had a commercial in the ’90s that talked about “being like Mike.” Young, aspiring basketball players would attempt to play like him, but what is more interesting (and slightly comical) is that many would mimic how he often stuck out tongue while he played. This is an example of concentration breeding conformity. The truth is, we naturally imitate what we concentrate on. What are you concentrating on? What or whom are you worshipping? Is it your technology?
