Conserved Matter

Water-Ice

Science describes a principle known as the “conservation of mass.” “Matter can change form through physical and chemical changes, but through any of these changes matter is conserved.” In other words, matter can shift into different states through physical or chemical changes—water can become ice, lava can become rock, and one’s breath can create mist on a glass—but no matter the efforts we undergo, and despite the machinations we might employ, the amount of matter that has been since creation will continue to be. It is unchangeable. In this same way, the kingdom of God is found to exist beyond the Enemy’s ability to damage, diminish, or contaminate it (“The Conservation of Matter During Physical and Chemical Changes,” National Geographic, updated June 2, 2022, https://education.nationalgeographic.org/resource/conservation-matter-during-physical-and-chemical-changes).
