It is interesting that many of our athletic heroes have a competitive nature that calls them to dominate to achieve victory. But Jesus was the opposite. He obtained victory by sacrificing His life. No one envies the sacrifice Jesus made on the cross. That would be an odd emotion. Our response should be one of gratitude for the price He paid to achieve greatness.
