Do Not Live According to Flesh

Junior high is an especially difficult time in life. Teenagers are trying to figure out
who they are. During these years, they will often try out different personas. A boy
who loves to read and study may try to act like a jock. A girl who has a kind
disposition may try to act like one of the mean, popular girls. The contrast
between who they really are and the way they are acting is apparent to everyone
around them. Paul reminds his audience that they do not live according to the
flesh anymore. Therefore, it is obvious to everyone when they are not living
according to the spirit.
