In the movie Mary Poppins (directed by Robert Stevenson, Walt Disney Productions, 1964), Mary takes the children to visit her friend Bert. Among other things, he is a sidewalk chalk artist. With a little help from Mary’s magic, suddenly Mary, Bert, and the children are transported into one of his chalk drawings. Bert gets to walk and dance and eat and enjoy his creation. When Jesus arrived in this world, it was like the scene in Mary Poppins where the creator got to walk around, sit, eat, interact with, experience, and enjoy his creation.
