Elisabeth Elliot was considered one of the most influential Christian women in the 20th century. She was the wife of martyred missionary Jim Elliot and after his death, went to serve and witness to the same tribe that killed him. Elisabeth later remarried but experienced other trials of losing her 2nd husband and later, dementia. She wrote many books and hosted a radio show that ministered to many. She once said, “God is God. Because he is God, He is worthy of my trust and obedience. I will find rest nowhere but in His holy will that is unspeakably beyond my largest notions of what he is up to.” (Article source: https://www.thegospelcoalition.org/article/9-things-you-should-know-about-elisabeth-elliot)
Elliot’s trust in God was unwavering though she weathered many trials. We as believers can rest in the knowledge of God’s perfect holiness and his unlimited grace towards us.
