Happiness

The animated movie Trolls describes the overly happy creatures called trolls and the overly negative creatures called Bergens (directed by Mike Mitchell and Walt Dohrn [DreamWorks Animation, 2016]). The Bergens eat the trolls because they believe that is how they acquire happiness. The trolls must escape the Bergens and show them that happiness resides inside each person. The movie contrasts happiness through consumption with happiness as an inner state of a person’s character.
