Hiking

Hiking alone can be very dangerous for a number of reasons. Most of the dangers can be summed up with this: If you get in trouble (exhausted, lost, injured), there is no one to bail you out or aid you along the way. If there is someone with you when you get into trouble, you have someone who can carry you, find help, or simply lighten your load. Sometimes we view the Christian life as a solitary walk in the woods—but this is a dangerous mentality. We are called to walk together, in community, toward the goal.
