There are more than 10,000 breeds of domestic sheep, so we should expect a variety of folks in ‘the herd’ (AKA the church). Unlike the animals, however, we as believers, belong to “one flock” and only “one shepherd.” Embracing God’s love for us will help us to love others—even the ones who mess up or are different than us—with the same generosity and kindness Jesus embodied.
