The restoration that the psalm asks for and trusts in is the restoration of all things, when God restores himself to the rightful place over his creation. In Wreck-It Ralph, the titular character finds himself in a different video game, fighting for Vanellope, whom everyone in her racing game calls a “glitch” (directed by Rich Moore, Walt Disney Studios, 2012). We find out that Vanellope is not a glitch but has been suppressed by an evil character from outside her game. When she crosses the finish line first, we also find out that she is the main character, turning into a princess, and when she hits the ground, all the damage that has been done to her world is erased in a giant wave. This is the sort of restoration we praise God for.
