Imagine trying to put together a puzzle with a group of friends, but each of you uses a different picture as a reference for what the puzzle should look like. Pretty quickly you will start arguing. You’ll each think the other is crazy for how they are trying to organize the pieces. It’s only when you recognize the problem and find the correct picture that you can begin to make progress. Paul encourages the Philippians to recognize that Jesus’s incarnation is the example we must imitate as we seek unity in the body of Christ.
