Shame Into Grace

The Avett Brothers sing, “Shame, boatloads of shame … Please make it stop.” What is the remedy to this heavy burden? God’s movement toward us, rather than away from us, even in the garden, tells us that he does not avoid our brokenness. He is the key to moving from the overwhelming burden of shame into grace and back into right relationship.
