All other sources for our value, worth, and purpose are transient and unstable except for our identity in Christ. We might be tempted to find our confidence in what others think of us, but that makes us a slave to their expectations. Eventually, we will let them down. Our identity must not be found in our performance, accomplishments, or what other people think of us. Our identity must be found in our relationship with God through Jesus.
