Speaking Like God

“Studies have shown that accents begin to develop in the brain as young as 6 months of age. Babies begin mapping familiar sounds and words in their brains. These sounds develop further the more frequently they are used by those around them” (Avivit Ben-Aharon, “At What Age Is an Accent Permanent?,” Great Speech, October 15, 2024, https://www.greatspeech.com/at-what-age-is-an-accent-permanent/). Very quickly and from an early age, we can see how children acquire a regional accent in their speech. They begin to talk like the people with whom they spend the most time. When we spend extravagant time with God, we begin to speak and sound like him, too.
