Have you ever thought you knew something, only to be corrected? That can be hard! Sometimes we have a misperception of people or events that taints our interpretation. Someone we don’t like usually says negative things in our minds, whether they are negative or not. Or someone we love can treat us poorly, but we can’t see that because we have rose-colored glasses on. The same can be true for how we approach the Bible and our theology; it’s easy to assume we already know what we think it should say.
