A number of contemporary Christian bands celebrate the gift of a new day. Robbie Seay Band’s “New Day” and Five Iron Frenzy’s “Every New Day” are both examples. The theme in those songs and others is the same: we can rejoice and be glad when God has given us another day to live. Whether the things going on in your life are good or bad, God has given his breath of life that keeps you alive—and that, in and of itself, is something for which we can say thank you.
