The Root of Evil

Paul states that “the love of money is a root of all kinds of evils”(v.10). A root is what gives life to a plant, and it is not readily visible because it is buried beneath the surface of the earth. The love of money is a type of sin that may not be readily visible to others, but it gives life to other sins like greed, lust, and covetousness.
