The Weight of the Gospel

A ballast for a boat keeps it from capsizing even in harsh waves. We can easily be tossed to and fro by our circumstances. But we’re looking for something weighty to keep us steady, an “anchor of the soul” (Hebrews 6:19). We need weight in our life’s boat to keep us steady. This is the power of the gospel at work in our lives. Sometimes it feels heavy, yet it keeps us afloat.
