The Word Became Flesh

Words and reality don’t always match. For example, when someone tries to describe a particularly funny joke, but you don’t laugh, they’ll say, “I guess you had to be there.” Or when you try to describe a beautiful sunrise to someone, no matter how eloquent you are, you just can’t capture the beauty with your words. The Bible tells us that God’s Word became flesh. Through the prophets, God had told his people what he was like, but they couldn’t fully appreciate it. To make his glory abundantly clear and to save humanity, the Word of God became flesh and walked among us.
