Whenever gas gets extremely expensive, people’s spending habits change.
When the prices are low, most people don’t pay that much attention to the slight
differences in price at competing gas stations. However, when the price of gas
rises, people will drive across town to save a few dollars. A philanthropist in
Chicago gave away $200,000 in gas to help offset the costs for families. The
news channels picked up the story and got the word out. When we receive
