When Jesus was raised from the dead, he was given power, or authority, over everything in heaven and on earth. This means there is nowhere on earth we can go and no situation we find ourselves in that is not subject to the authority of Jesus. The resurrection gave him authority over it all.
Julian Assange, the founder of Wikileaks is a wanted man in the United States. He is responsible for leaking top secret government documents. Arresting him has proven elusive. For the past four years, he has lived inside the Ecuadorian Embassy in London. Due to international laws, America is unable to just walk in and arrest Assange. Why? As powerful as the United States is, authority is limited in other countries. Aren’t you glad that the power of Jesus is not limited to one place or only to certain people?
