Set Apart

In the Harry Potter series, Harry struggles with being the one set apart and considered special. He wishes he were just normal, like everyone else. Sometimes we struggle with this same feeling. God has set us apart for his purposes, but being normal looks so much simpler and easier. Part of maturing in Christ means accepting that we won’t always fit in when we live by his principles. That’s okay. Standing up for the truth, lifting up the underdog, and helping others fight the darkness of sin in their lives with the hope of Jesus is exactly what we were meant to do.
