Imagine a pot of water, full to the brim, boiling on the stove. The water in the pot goes through several stages of heat before it starts to spill out of the pot. Initially, the water may look safe, since it isn’t boiling, but in actuality, it is extremely hot and reaching its boiling point. In the same way, the Bible shows us that God is slow to anger, reaching his boiling point only after a certain amount of time of constant heat and boiling.
