Imitations

In our highly processed food society, it is easy to find goods that are cheap, fast, and lack any nutritional substance. You can get imitation crab instead of real crab. Or you can find highly processed vegetables in your instant cup or ramen noodles. However, those vegetables don’t have the same nutritional content as the fresh vegetable. Even fast food from your favorite chain restaurant can imitate a full meal but leave your body unsatisfied and depleted of actual nutrients to survive. Our spiritual lives can have the same negligence. Only God can satisfy our desires, but we try to fill the void with cheap imitations.
