The Ordinance is a documentary by Deidox Films that shows church communities in Texas working together to protect people from predatory payday loans. These churches had mercy ministries for years but kept seeing people gripped by the cycle of poverty due to predatory lending. They banded together to actually try and limit what these lenders could do in order to keep others from being hurt by them.
These communities not only took up the call to love the poor through their ministry but also to actively fight against immoral and powerful forces that preyed on them. Faith and works together are a dynamic combination and there is nothing that God cannot do when obedient Christians commit to living for him.
