Task Lists

Many of us are list people. We love to organize our charts. If salvation came through works and not grace, some people would have a massive flowchart on a wall that listed all the commandments and how to accomplish their goals. Maybe some of you add things you have already done to your list, just so you can scratch them off. If you ever write down on your list “Know God fully and completely,” you will be frustrated, because God is big and our relationship eternal; you will never cross that goal off. But we like to have spiritual practices, “quiet times,” and those can become a task on our to-do list, to show God what good Christians we are.
