Mathematicians begin their education with arithmetic—that is, basic addition and subtraction. Likely all masterful musicians began their career by learning the rudiments of their instruments—scales and rhythms. There is no great existence that did not begin with something much simpler. Complex truths are not founded by many simple truths. Very similarly, there are no Christians with authentic, thriving relationships with God who did not at first simply believe in him. The first step in a true relationship with God is true belief.
