Think Before You Tweet

In an editorial for Christianity Today, Richard Clark writes of the tendency for everyone to weigh in on social media after tragedies occur, for better or for worse

“We sometimes confuse a call for something to be done with the act of actually doing something—instead of giving strategic thought to the best course of action, much less working to become a part of the solution. Often the wise course is instead to wait, listen, and think for a while.”

Though believers are redeemed by the finished work of Christ, we still struggle to prove ourselves to others and be “right.” Even though no one is too far away for God to save them, we must consider whether the things we say and do lead someone closer to faith or further away.
